Riyadh Metro is a new, multi-station transit system serving one of the fastest growing capital cities in the region. A network of this scale carries a constant flow of passengers, staff, and vehicles across many stations at once, and every one of those movements has a security and safety dimension.
Rather than adding security as a later layer, the project team wanted it engineered into the system from the very first day. The goal was a single, coordinated approach across all stations, not separate tools bolted on station by station after opening.

SAM Controls deployed Digital Faciliter as the unifying platform for access control and video surveillance across the entire station network. Every controlled door, gate, and camera feeds into one dashboard, so operators see the whole system in a single view instead of switching between disconnected consoles.
Because the deployment was part of the build rather than a retrofit, access policies, monitoring, and alerting were consistent from the moment stations came online. Staff, contractors, and restricted areas are managed under one clear set of rules, and video surveillance is tied directly to access events for fast, informed response.
